Through a couple weeks of fall camp, there seems to be some growing momentum around quarterback Jarrett Guarantano. The redshirt sophomore quarterback is in the midst of a battle with graduate-transfer Keller Chryst, each trying to assert themselves as the starter before the opener in Charlotte against West Virginia.
Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt isn’t buying into Guarantano’s momentum — publicly, at least. “If you look over all the practices, there’s really nobody that’s kind of separated theirselves yet,” Pruitt said on Sunday after the Vols’ scrimmage at Neyland Stadium.
In an appearance on The Paul Finebaum Show on SEC Network Monday, Pruitt expanded on his thoughts a bit.
