Most of the buzz surrounding Jeremy Pruitt’s hiring at Tennessee focused on his relentless recruiting approach. To consider him a recruiter only, however, would be selling him far short.
Whether it was at Alabama the first time, Florida State, Georgia or Alabama the second time, Pruitt has proven himself elite when it comes to scheming defenses, developing game plans and teaching players. Much of that methodology has been learned at the foot of Nick Saban, perhaps the greatest college football coach ever, and a specialist at coaching the secondary, just like Pruitt.
