If you watched Jeremy Pruitt at the podium on Tuesday afternoon, you probably caught his not-so-subtle recruiting pitch to wide receivers around the country. Tennessee, quite honestly, had struggled at the position since Pruitt’s arrival. The Vols have signed just one blue-clip player at the position in the past two cycles.
With four seniors about to exit the program after this year, Tennessee is in need of some help at receiver. With several high profile targets left out there on the board, Pruitt had a message to send at SEC Media Days.
“Wide receiver, you would think would be a strength on our team,” Pruitt said in Hoover.
