Jeremy Pruitt met with the media today, finally cementing his coaching staff’s roles for the 2019 season. After hiring Tee Martin, we knew some titles would have to shift offensively. But the addition of Derrick Ansley threw everyone a curveball. As Pruitt announced today, Ansley will carry the defensive coordinator title, along with Chris Rumph.
The full staff is listed below.
Offense
Jim Chaney — Offensive Coordinator
Chris Weinke — Quarterbacks (Was at RB)
David Johnson — Running Backs (Was at WR)
Brian Niedermeyer — Tight Ends
Will Friend — Offensive line
Tee Martin — Wide Receivers, Assistant head coach, Passing Game Coordinator
Defense
Derrick Ansley — Defensive Coordinator, Defensive Backs
Kevin Sherrer — Inside Linebackers, Special Teams
Chris Rumph — Co-Defensive Coordinator, Outside Linebackers
Tracy Rocker — Defensive Line
- We all expected Tee Martin to land as the receivers coach, but Martin will also get passing game coordinator, along with assistant head coach responsibilities.
