Inept Tennessee offense in full view in 11th consecutive loss to Alabama

Tennessee’s offense hasn’t been this inept since the Vols wore leather helmets and Amos Alonzo Stagg was patrolling somebody’s sideline. Alabama wasn’t all that sharp Saturday, but it didn’t need to be in an easy 45-7 victory over Tennessee team in Tuscaloosa.

Tennessee’s offense now has gone 14 quarters without scoring; Saturday’s touchdown came on a 97-yard interception return by linebacker Daniel Bituli.

One series in the fourth quarter typified how pathetic the Tennessee offense has become. The Vols took over on Alabama’s 20 after a fumbled punt. Two plays later, roughing the passer put the ball on the 5.
