One of the main points of concern on Tennessee’s 2024 roster over the summer has been the running back depth, which took a big hit as Jabari Small and Jaylen Wright turned pro. That leaves Dylan Sampson and a whole lot of unknown after that.
Sampson will be the unquestioned leader there and should get the bulk of the work, but as we’ve seen from Josh Heupel’s staff in the past, they like to rotate fairly often. Last year it was a three-headed attack with Small, Wright and Sampson. This year? Well it could be a bit different without much experience on the roster.
