Not only did Tennessee lose last week against Ole Miss, but starting quarterback Hendon Hooker was forced to leave the game with an injury late in the fourth quarter. The injury didn’t look great, as Hooker was helped off of the field and was unable to put much weight on his leg.
Josh Heupel called Hooker day to day and Monday, and that’s still the diagnosis today.
“He’s still day-to-day at this point,” Heupel said during the SEC teleconference on Wednesday. “Getting some work on the field. As we get to the end of the week, we’ll know if he’ll be available for this one.
