On film, Guarantano shows a pro-style quarterback's mentality in a dual-threat quarterback's body, demonstrating good pocket awareness and using his elusiveness to escape pressure rather than move the chains. However, what really sets Guarantano apart from other elite quarterback prospects is his arm strength-- even routine throws seem to jump out of his hand with good velocity and a tight spiral. Deep routes thrown by young quarterbacks are often high arced rainbows, but long passes from Guarantano are crisp and flat arced, even over great distance.
