Following the loss of Jarrett Guarantano and JT Shrout to the transfer portal, Tennessee pretty much had to attack the transfer market to add depth at quarterback. Today, they’ve landed a commitment from former Virginia Tech quarterback Hendon Hooker.
Hooker made the announcement this afternoon.
Tennessee was left with just Harrison Bailey and Brian Maurer from last year’s team. They’ll welcome four-star passer Kaidon Salter this year, and now will add Hooker to the room.
Hooker is a 6-4, 220 pound quarterback from Greensboro, North Carolina. He’s played in each of the last three seasons for the Hokies, starting a total of 15 games in the last two years.
