Duke football coach David Cutcliffe gets contract extension through 2021

Duke head coach David Cutcliffe agreed to a contract extension through June 2021, Duke Vice President and Director of Athletics Kevin White announced on Monday.

Cutcliffe, who has spent the last nine seasons with the Blue Devils, has led the program to a 52-61 record, which included a 10-win season in 2013 that resulted in an ACC Coastal Division title as well as Duke’s first bowl win in 54 years: a 44-41 victory over Indiana in the 2015 Pinstripe Bowl.

The 66-year-old coach inherited a program that had won four games in four years prior to his arrival.
