ANN MEYERS DRYSDALE MIDSEASON WATCH LIST
ST. LOUIS, MO. -- The U.S. Basketball Writers Association announced the midseason watch list Monday for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, and Tennessee redshirt sophomore Diamond DeShields is among 16 candidates for that honor.
The watch list includes potential winners of women’s national player of the year (Ann Meyers Drysdale Award).
DeShields, a 6-1 guard from Norcross, Ga. (Norcross H.S.), leads the Lady Vols with a 15.1 points-per-game scoring average. She also leads UT in assists (45), steals (38), field goals (107) and three-pointers (19) and is second in free throws (39).
