Just five days remain until the first-ever college football clash at Bristol Motor Speedway, matching Tennessee and Virginia Tech on national TV (8 p.m. Eastern, ESPN) under the Saturday night lights.
While workers finished laying the field early last week, artificial turf doesn’t come with pre-installed yard lines and hash marks. And football doesn’t look like football without them.
That’s where the paint crew comes in.
The speedway posted a gallery of photos showing the transformation of the venue from oval race course to rectangular football field, all the way from the project’s start on August 22.
