Just over two weeks from the Battle at Bristol between Tennessee and Virginia Tech, the race track’s redesign is starting to take shape.
Workers at Bristol Motor Speedway are hard at work transforming the half-mile NASCAR circuit into the venue for the Vols’ September 10 meeting against the Hokies. A college-football record crowd of 150,000 is expected for the contest.
The official @BattleAtBristol Twitter account posted a live update Wednesday morning on Periscope, showing video of the current status in the conversion process.
