KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Auburn volleyball team used a strong, well-rounded effort to capture a 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-21) win over Tennessee Wednesday night in Knoxville. The victory moves the Tigers to 18-11 overall and 10-7 in SEC play.
The Tigers offense was beyond exceptional and finished with its best hitting performance in SEC play this year, having a .341 clip on 38 kills with just eight errors. Auburn's defense also exceled and limited the Volunteer's to a .021 hitting percentage - the lowest by any Tiger opponent this season.
