The mother of former Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd has gotten her legal issues from last season’s Florida game resolved.
Tara Michelle Smotherman, who had been charged with assault and resisting arrest, had those charges dismissed in a Knox County court Tuesday, the Knoxville News-Sentinel reported.
Smotherman was arrested in the September 24 incident at Neyland Stadium, when she was charged with misdemeanor assault following a confrontation with fans during the game against Florida.
She will have to pay court costs and avoid further charges during the next six months.
Although the legal implications from the case are over for Smotherman, she still has found her way into the spotlight.
