Alabama finishes second round in fourth place

SHOAL CREEK, Ala. -- The Alabama women's golf team sits in fourth place after the second round of the NCAA Regional at the Shoal Creek Club in Shoal Creek, Ala., on Friday. The Tide shot a 12-over par 300, which was the fourth-lowest score among the 18 teams in Friday's second round.

Alabama (306-300/606) trails first place Northwestern (296-294/590) by 16 shots heading into Saturday's final round. Florida State is second (299-297/596) followed by Oklahoma State (301-297/598), Alabama, Tennessee (300-311/611) and California (307-307/614). Fellow SEC opponent Vanderbilt finished the second round tied for eighth place (302-316/618) while Missouri sits in thirteenth place (311-318/629).
