The Sept. 10 game between Tennessee and Virginia Tech, the first of its kind to be played for at Bristol Motor Speedway, will air on ABC's "Saturday Night Football" and start at 8 p.m. ET.
Organizers for the "Battle at Bristol" are hoping the game at the 150,000-seat NASCAR track breaks college football attendance records. The track is about halfway between the two schools, which are 230 miles apart.
The NCAA-recognized attendance record for college football of 115,109 was set at Michigan Stadium for Michigan-Notre Dame in 2013.
