Jamarcus Chatman hasn’t yet played a down of college football, but apparently that hasn’t stopped others from comparing him to a former star of the school to which he is committed.
Chatman told GN last Friday night after his Rome (Ga.) High took down Kennesaw (Ga.) Harrison that he’s been described as a similar player to former Volunteers pass rusher Derek Barnett.
“Everybody compares me to him all the time,” Chatman said. “They always call me Barnett Jr.”
Barnett, who was a four-star prospect in the 2014 recruiting cycle, had a school-record 33 sacks in his three-year Tennessee career.
