NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Titans made Mike Mularkey the team’s interim coach Tuesday after firing head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
Mularkey is in his second season with the Titans and was promoted to assistant head coach/tight ends coach this season. He will now lead the Titans (1-6) as they prepare to face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Here are a few things to know about Mularkey.
1. He is in his 21st season as an NFL coach. He has had two head coaching stints, the most recent being with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012 when the team posted a 2-14 record.
