The Tennessee Titans made a drastic change at running back this past offseason by replacing franchise legend Derrick Henry with Tony Pollard in free agency. Head coach Brian Callahan was installing a new offense that was going to pair Pollard with sophomore ball carrier Tyjae Spears. The Titans spent training camp discussing a true 50-50 backfield timeshare. That did not come to fruition in Sunday’s disappointing defeat to the Chicago Bears.
Pollard was productive and explosive, rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown via 16 carries. He scored Tennessee’s first touchdown of the 2024 season, taking advantage of a nice hole created up the left side by a pulling Dillon Radunz, JC Latham, and Peter Skoronski.
