Titans score 34 points in New Orleans, need OT to end losing streak in Mike Mularkey's debut

NEW ORLEANS -- Not only were the Titans in it at the end, the actually won it in the end.

The Titans 34-28 overtime win ended a six-game losing streak and won the franchise’s first game since firing coach Ken Whisenhunt and replacing him with Mike Mularkey on an interim basis.

The Titans showed scrap, fight and tenacity.

There has been little to celebrate in the last two years for the franchise. They are certainly entitled to celebrate this one, a memorable road win at a tough road venue against a top quarterback.

From the Saints’ 5-yard line, Marcus Mariota rolled right, and threw back to Anthony Fasano for a touchdown to cap the opening drive of overtime and win the game.
