Titans say Mariota will not play in season finale

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Titans interim coach Mike Mularkey has ruled out rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota for Sunday's season finale against the Colts in Indianapolis.

Mariota suffered a sprained right knee on Dec. 20 at New England when running back Antonio Andrews missed a blitz pick up and Chandler Jones' sack twisted Mariota's leg underneath him.

"It's just not worth the risk," Mularkey said. "He's not as far a long today as we thought he'd be."

Zach Mettenberger will start in his place for the fourth time this season.
