NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Selecting Mississippi State defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons with the No. 19 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft will undoubtedly open the Tennessee Titans to criticism. Simmons is one of the most talented prospects in the draft but comes with baggage due to an incident in March of 2016 when he was caught on video punching a woman who was fighting his sister.
A top prospect coming out of high school, Simmons pleaded no contest to simple assault and was allowed to enroll at Mississippi State. He was suspended for one game.
