NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The downturn of the Tennessee Titans' offensive line and pass protection started on Feb. 7, 2011.
That’s when the founder and owner of the franchise, Bud Adams, elevated Mike Munchak from offensive line coach to head coach.
Adams took an assistant coach who was a Pro Football Hall of Fame player who had a 14-year resume as an excellent position coach and gave him his first head job, which lasted only three seasons.
And under Bruce Matthews -- an Oilers/Titans great, Munchack’s best friend and a fellow Hall of Famer -- and Bob Bostad for the last two years, the position has crumbled.
