NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Titans general manager Ryan Robinson has recreated a director of player personnel post in the Titans' front office and filled it with Ryan Cowden, who previously served as the Carolina Panthers' assistant director of college scouting.
ESPN.com Panthers reporter David Newton confirmed the hire, first reported by the Charlotte Observer.
Cowden presumably will work between Robinson and Blake Beddingfield, the director of college scouting, and Brian Gardner, the pro scouting coordinator.
Former general manager Ruston Webster fired vice president of player personnel Lake Dawson on Jan. 30, 2015, and the Titans have not had anyone in that role since.
