NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- For a time, the Tennessee Titans' defense looked like it was going to be one of the NFL’s best.
Assistant head coach/ defense Dick LeBeau and his guys made it a goal to finish in the top 10 a year after the team was 27th.
It ranked as high as third in average yards per game relatively early in the 2015 season. But starting in Week 10, the Titans' defense needed a parachute to help brace it from its free fall.
Third down was a real problem when things went badly.
