Jon Robinson has filled yet another need, signing former Arizona Cardinal safety Rashad Johnson. Johnson is believed to be Michael Griffin's replacement, playing the free safety role beside Da'Norris Searcy.
It will be a one year deal for Johnson.
Johnson began as a walk-on at Alabama, but eventually became a two year starter. He was a third round selection back in 2009, becoming a starter for the Cardinals. In the last two seasons, Johnson started 30 games for Arizona.
What does this signing mean? It means another need is marked off the board. It means Jon Robinson won't have to force a draft pick to fill a need in April.
