It’s been an interesting off season with young players retiring from the NFL. At 31 years-old, Tennessee Titans linebacker Kamerion Wimbley joined the growing list of players calling it quits with something left in the tank. The news follows other Titans ending their careers on their terms including Jake Locker and Michael Roos. The trend for linebackers retiring at a younger age started with the San Francisco 49ers’ Chris Borland back in March at 24 years old.
“While I am grateful for the opportunity to play in the NFL, I am closing this chapter of my life and looking towards the future,” Wimbley said in a statement.
