NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans cut 33 players and placed receiver Tajae Sharpe and quarterback Alex Tanney on season-ending injured reserve Saturday, trimming their roster to the NFL-mandated 53 players. Here’s a closer look at the final cuts:
Most significant move: Placing receiver Tajae Sharpe on injured reserve was the only move that can truly be considered a surprise. Sharpe re-injured his surgically repaired right foot Thursday at Kansas City. Sharpe wasn't going to be a starter, but he was the Titans' second-leading wide receiver in 2016 and figured to be a contributor once he was 100 percent healthy.
