Even though the Titans have said that the new hires will be independent, it appears they want to hire the general manager first and that person will have input on a head-coaching selection.

Former general manager Ruston Webster was let go the day after the Titans wound up a 3-13 season and secured the number one pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
