The Tennessee Titans need for a 5th receiver was always overstated.
I understand that before the draft that some people wanted the Tennessee Titans to forgo need and go after a shiny new wide receiver. I think in retrospect we can say now that was a stupid idea.
We can say that for a lot of reasons. First and foremost because this team had very few real “holes” and a depth WR over impact positions like EDGE and LB just never made sense.
Maybe more importantly, we can say that because Matt LaFleur doesn’t need the 5th WR to play a ton of snaps.
