NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans announced they placed starting safety Amani Hooker on injured reserve on Tuesday. Hooker suffered a foot injury in the third quarter of the Titans' 38-13 loss to Arizona Cardinals last Sunday.
The 2021 season was set to be Hooker's first year as the starting safety alongside veteran Kevin Byard. The 2019 fourth-round pick finished with four interceptions in a reserve role last season which tied him for the team lead.
Veteran safety Bradley McDougald filled in at safety for Hooker on Sunday.
