The Tennessee Titans have released running back Terrance West, a source told ESPN.
The former third-round pick led the Cleveland Browns with 673 rushing yards last year as a rookie, but he was traded before this season for a conditional seventh-rounder and never established a role in Tennessee, where he recorded 51 yards in spot duty.
West, who had well-documented maturity issues in Cleveland, had not appeared in a game with Tennessee since Week 2.
The 5-foot-10, 225-pound West also had fallen behind Antonio Andrews, Dexter McCluster, rookie David Cobb and Bishop Sankey on Tennessee's depth chart at running back.
