The Eagles are releasing safety Kevin Byard, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, in a move that will free up significant draft capital.
Byard was scheduled to make a base salary of just under $10 million in 2024 with a $4 million roster bonus. By releasing him, the Eagles are schedule to free up an additional $13.7 million in cap space as they enter free agency. Prior to the move, they were projected to have around $30 million in space available.
