NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Sunday held an emotional surprise for Tennessee Titans receiver Rishard Matthews.
Before he hit the field for the Titans' third preseason game against the Chicago Bears, Matthews was presented with an American flag flown in Afghanistan after his half-brother, retired Marine Chris Ruiz, died there in October 2015 while working as a private defense contractor.
"It meant a lot. The story is much deeper than people know, it goes way back to New Mexico," Matthews said. "It was tough. I was getting excited for the game and it's tough to keep those type of emotions in.
