Receiver-needy Titans awarded Damaris Johnson

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The receiver-deficient Tennessee Titans were awarded Damaris Johnson off waivers from the New England Patriots.

Johnson signed in New England on Dec. 1 and was with the Patriots for only two games. He played three snaps in the Dec. 6 loss to the Eagles, taking a jet sweep carry 7 yards. The Patriots cut him to make room for Leonard Hankerson, who was cut by Atlanta.

In four seasons, Johnson played for Philadelphia, Houston and New England, totaling 44 games, 52 catches, 601 yards and a touchdown.
