NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee Titans general manager Ryan Robinson has re-created a director of player personnel post in the Titans front office and filled it with Ryan Cowden, who was Carolina Panthers' assistant director of college scouting.
ESPN.com's Panthers reporter David Newton confirmed the hire, first reported by the Charlotte Observer.
Cowden presumably will work between Robinson and Blake Beddingfield, the director of college scouting and Brian Gardner, the pro scouting coordinator.
Former general manager Ruston Webster fired vice president of player personnel Lake Dawson on Jan. 30, 2015 and have not had anyone in that sort of role since.
