Mike Mularkey sticking with theme asking Titans to clean up their play

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- In their 34-28 overtime win in New Orleans, the Tennessee Titans showed they don’t have to fear making mistakes and press to play perfect in order to win.

That isn’t, however, the message Mike Mularkey is sending his team.

The interim coach does not want his players thinking they can survive mistakes, because he saw many that could have lost Tennessee the game.

He’s pleased about the win, but still sees a lot of cleaning up to do.

“The message last week was that we want to be a physically tough football team, one, and two we want to quit beating ourselves,” he said.
