SAN DIEGO -- Referee Brad Allen and his crew called two defensive holding penalties against the Tennessee Titans on the third-quarter touchdown drive that put the San Diego Chargers up for good.
The Titans didn’t feel the plays warranted the calls. And coach Mike Mularkey added a play in which he thought Antonio Gates got away with offensive pass interference to his list.
“I think that they were really poorly officiated,” Mularkey said. “The throw to Gates, I’ve seen it over and over and over and over and over on our guys, especially on Delanie [Walker], overcalled.
