At this point, I believe everybody has accepted the fact that Marcus Mariota will not be back in Nashville. In all likelihood, Mariota will end his five-year run in Nashville having thrown for 13,207 total yards and 76 touchdowns to 44 interceptions.
It wasn’t all bad. Before the 2019 season, Titans fans universally believed Mariota would earn a second contract from the Titans, and there was reason to be optimistic.
In the sophomore year of Mariota’s career, 2016, he showed immense promise. Mariota would finish that year with 3,426 yards, with 26 touchdowns to only 9 interceptions.
