NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans made their first roster move for 2016 on Tuesday, releasing 2007 first-round draft pick Michael Griffin.
That move saved the team $6.5 million against the salary cap.
Cap room is not going to be a big issue for the Titans, who will be able to spend plenty in free agency if they choose to do so. They should have between $40-$45 million.
If any other roster moves are money-driven, they won't be about big money. There are some bonuses pending and some salaries that get guaranteed.
