J.J. Watt announced this morning that he sat down with the McNair family, who owns the Houston Texans, and asked them for his release. They have granted him that release. He is now a free agent. This ends a reign of terror on the Tennessee Titans. I will never forget the day that Ken Whisenhunt left Will Svitek alone on Watt all day. That game accounted for at least 75% of Watt’s career sacks.*
There is already a clamoring for the Titans to sign Watt. Look, I get it, the Titans need pass rush and Mike Vrabel coached Watt in Houston.
