Yesterday Mike Vrabel sent us into a bit of a frenzy when he left the door open for Jeffery Simmons opening the season on the 53 man roster. However, that didn’t happen, and that shouldn’t be a surprise. The Titans placed him on the NFI list today when getting the roster to 53.
Simmons cannot practice with the team for the first 6 weeks of the season. After the initial 6 weeks the team will have 6 weeks to decide whether or not to add him to the active roster.
Simmons is way ahead of where they expected him to be at this point by all accounts.
