Horton returning to Browns as D-coordinator

Ray Horton will be returning to the Cleveland Browns.

Horton was one of five coaches who agreed to join the staff of Hue Jackson on Wednesday. Horton will be the team's defensive coordinator.

Horton, a Dick LeBeau disciple, spent 2013 with the Browns in the same job. He returns after two years with the Tennessee Titans.

On Sunday, John Wooten, the chairman of the Fritz Pollard Alliance, which monitors minority hiring in the NFL, told the Tennessean that Horton was "insulted" by the Titans' head coaching search and would leave the team for the Browns after Mike Mularkey was named the team's head coach.
