Former Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jurrell Casey is retiring from the NFL, he announced this morning.
Casey, 31, was the Titans' third-round pick in 2011. In nine years with the Titans, he tallied 686 tackles, 51 sacks, 59 tackles for loss, 19 passes defensed, eight forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.
Casey thanked the Titans all throughout his message.
"To be able to get drafted by Tennessee, and to be able to live out a lifetime dream is everything a young man from Long Beach, California could dream of," Casey said. All the relationships that I made along the way, we had a brotherhood.
