Former Titans center Kevin Mawae a Hall of Fame semifinalist

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Center Kevin Mawae, who finished his career from 2006 to 2009 with the Tennessee Titans, is one of 26 modern-era semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

It’s the third year in a row Mawae has made the cut to this point

Mawae was part of the line that blocked for Chris Johnson when he ran for 2,006 rushing yards in 2009.

He was a giant free-agent addition for the Titans as part of a class that also included linebacker David Thornton and safety Chris Hope.

The group elevated the franchise, which made consecutive trips to the playoffs in the 2007 and 2008 seasons.
