TEMPE, Ariz. -- Former Arizona Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson had one of the best seasons of his career in 2015 while his father fought for his life back in Alabama.
Johnson, who agreed to terms with the Tennessee Titans on Friday, told the Titans’ website that his father had a tumor on his pancreas which required a 13-hour surgery to remove.
“It was intense and really scary,” Johnson said. “It was cancerous, but thank God they got all of it, no chemo. But you never know about that cancer, it’s something you have to fight for a while.
