Fantasy fallout: Derek Carr starting to master 'The Matrix'

Derek Carr can’t keep this up, right?

Not with his history of second-half swoons in his first two years as quarterback of the Oakland Raiders. Not with his next two games coming against the NFL’s top two passing defenses (the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans).

But just because Carr is an obvious “sell-high” candidate after throwing for 513 yards and four touchdowns last week doesn’t mean you can't buy into what he is doing this year as a top-seven fantasy quarterback.

Carr is showing the kind of growth that is typical of third-year NFL quarterbacks.
