The Tennessee Titans’ defense was dealt a blow with Denico Autry joined the Houston Texans in unrestricted free agency. Many expected general manager Ran Carthon to pursue a like-for-like replacement via free agency or the 2024 NFL Draft. After all, Autry recorded a career-best and team-high 11.5 sacks last season. Autry played 768 total defensive snaps, which accounted for 66.72% of all Titans defensive plays according to Pro Football Reference.
Despite Autry’s departure, the Titans’ roster doesn’t appear to possess a fit-for-fit replacement. The Titans didn’t sign a single EDGE defender in free agency.
