Derrick Henry Pick Is An Investment for the Future

The Titans used one of their second round pick (45th overall) on Heisman trophy winning running back Derrick Henry. The buzz around the Titans selection may be one of the least ever, factoring in how dominant Henry was in college.

The 6’3″, 240 pound steamroller joins a crowded backfield with DeMarco Murray, Antonio Andrews, Bishop Sankey, and David Cobb. Running back wasn’t a dire need for the Titans heading into the Draft, but the selection shows how much they though of Henry.

In an era where running backs have a prime window of five years, Henry will be in prime position to replace DeMarco Murray.
